Lennox Head

Lennox Head is family friendly destination with self-catering holiday units, resorts, backpackers and B&B's. A lot of Byron Bay's bohemian culture has transferred to Lennox Head due to the crowds and cost of Byron Bay. Yet, you can still jump in a car to be in Byron Bay in less that 20 minutes.

Lennox Head attracts surfers from around the world with it's legendary right hand waves. This is one of Australia's Top 3 surf breaks. From the Lennox Point, you can watch the waves roll in, see hang gliders take flight from cliffs rising 65 metres from the ocean and see humpback whales as they migrate along the coast. The headland offers sweeping views over Lennox Head village and up 7 Mile Beach towards Broken Head and Cape Byron.

At the north end of town, you'll find Lake Ainsworth, a freshwater lake that is popular with families. Walk a few metres from the distinctive tea tree stained waters of the lake to the white sands of Seven Mile Beach.
